Lumoava Aarre
If you have a Lumoava piece of jewelry you no longer use, you can recycle it with our help. What may no longer be of use to you could be a true treasure for someone else. For this purpose, we have created the Lumoava Aarre recycling service, which allows you to make your unused Lumoava silver jewelry available to other treasure hunters. As a thank‑you, you will receive a gift card to our online store, so you can choose something new that will get the attention it deserves. Let’s keep jewelry treasures in circulation.
At the moment, through our Lumoava Aarre service we accept and give credit for only silver Lumoava jewelry, so please make sure your piece is an authentic Lumoava silver item before sending it to us. We do not currently give credit for gold‑plated silver jewelry or pieces with leather cords. We can only accept jewelry that is intact and has all its parts, for example, stud earrings must have both backs, and pendants must include their chains. You can send us both pieces that are still in our selection and those that have been discontinued.
You can identify an authentic silver Lumoava piece by the LU and 925 stamps on the jewelry. The LU stamp refers to Lumoava, and the number 925 indicates that the piece is made of sterling silver. All of our silver jewelry is made from 100% recycled sterling silver, with a standardized silver content of 92.5%. If you are unsure about your piece, our customer service will be happy to help you identify it from a photo.

The value of the gift card you receive for the jewelry you send in for recycling is based on the piece’s original selling price.

How to recycle your Lumoava treasure
Send a clear photo of your jewelry along with additional information by email to asiakaspalvelu@lumoava.fi. In the additional details, you can mention, for example, the name of the piece (if you know it) and its measurements, if they are not apparent from the photo. Our customer service will reply to your email with the value of the jewelry, which equals the amount of the online store gift card you will receive for it.
Pack your jewelry carefully, for example in a padded envelope (we cannot reimburse items damaged during shipping). Include a note with your contact information and email address. Send your jewelry to our jewelry factory in Kuopio at the following address: LUMOAVA / Aarre Service, Kultakuja 4, 70150 KUOPIO, Finland.
Once we have received your package, you will get your gift card for our online store by email within 5 days of its arrival.
